Temple Care Starts with Perspective
š āSo whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.ā ā 1 Corinthians 10:31
When we talk about honoring the body as Godās temple, we arenāt just talking about avoiding harmful habits. Weāre talking about shifting our perspective.
Too often, health is framed around appearance, performance, or pressureāwhat the world calls āfitness.ā But God calls us to something deeper: faithful stewardship. Caring for our bodies is not about perfection, but obedience. Itās not about control, but trust.
Hereās the truth:
š§ Your mind matters. God cares about your stress, your sleep, and your mental clarity.
š½ļø Your nutrition matters. Every meal is a chance to honor Him through wise choices.
šāāļø Your movement matters. Exercise isnāt punishmentāitās stewardship.
š Your rest matters. Sabbath principles arenāt optional; theyāre essential.
š Health is spiritual. When you hydrate, rest, eat mindfully, or get that checkupāyouāre not being vain. Youāre being faithful.
Letās commit together:
This week, choose one area of your health to view as worship.
ā Take a walk and pray while you move.
ā Prep nourishing meals with gratitude.
ā Reflect on how your physical rhythms affect your spiritual walk.
