Another exciting advancement in patient care at Colquitt Regional Medical Center!

We are proud to celebrate Dr. Fred Johnson on successfully performing the first Endovascular Aneurysm Repair (EVAR) procedure at Colquitt Regional!🎉

EVAR is a minimally invasive procedure used to treat an abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA), a potentially life-threatening condition that occurs when a weakened area of the body's main artery becomes enlarged.

During the procedure, a specialized stent graft is placed inside the aorta to exclude the weakened area and help prevent a potentially life-threatening rupture. Compared to traditional open surgery, EVAR typically involves smaller incisions, less blood loss, and a shorter recovery time for eligible patients.

This milestone represents another important step forward in expanding access to advanced surgical care right here in Moultrie! 👏💙

We are incredibly proud of Dr. Johnson and the exceptional team of healthcare professionals who helped make this achievement possible. Fall days are even sweeter at Colquitt Regional Senior Care! 🍂🧀🍇☀️

Our residents have been making the most of the season with fun activities, delicious treats, and a little fresh air!

We kicked things off with a special Tasty Tuesday, where residents enjoyed sampling a variety of wines and sparkling juices paired with a delicious charcuterie spread. Later in the week, we took advantage of the beautiful fall weather and headed outdoors for a scarf movement class, enjoying some sunshine, cooler temperatures, and a little exercise!

From trying new things to staying active and spending quality time together, it’s these simple moments that bring so much joy to our residents. We’re grateful for every opportunity to create more ! 🍁❤️
