The Vereen Center is staffed by the highest quality certified athletic trainers, physical therapists, and occupational therapists who have the resources and skills to directly treat and care for athletes. Our 59-bed skilled nursing facility provides short-term rehabilitation and long-term care for older adults in a supportive, patient-centered environment. Our team of healthcare professionals is committed to providing quality, compassionate care while helping residents improve function, maintain independence, and achieve a better quality of life.

As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you will work closely with our Physical Therapists and interdisciplinary care team to provide individualized rehabilitation services to our residents. You will have the opportunity to develop meaningful relationships with patients while helping them improve strength, mobility, balance, functional independence, and confidence. This position will also cross-train in Acute Care and Home Health and is ideal for a PTA who enjoys working with older adults, values teamwork, and wants to make a meaningful difference in the lives of the patients they serve!

This role will focus on evaluating and treating patients with lymphedema, chronic edema, and related lymphatic conditions while helping patients improve function, independence, and quality of life. The therapist will work closely with our rehabilitation and wound care teams to provide comprehensive, patient-centered care.

Our 13,500-square-foot rehabilitation facility offers advanced treatment technologies and a collaborative environment where physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, and athletic trainers work together to provide individualized, patient-centered care.

Qualified candidates should hold a bachelorโ€™s, masterโ€™s, or doctorate degree in Physical Therapy, with a doctorate preferred, and have a current Georgia Physical Therapy license or be eligible for licensure. BLS certification is also required.
