Morning glories blooming on the fence near our chicken coop this morning. Such an old-fashioned stunner! And here’s our “gent” and a couple of the “ladies”.

Well our 50th Celebration is over! Despite unseasonably warm temperatures and the threat of storms, it was a success! We estimate somewhere between 2-3,000 people enjoyed the food and drink booths and the car show. Thank you to everyone who came out to celebrate with us! A huge thank you to all the people running the food booths, the parking directors, Kent from Meridian Grocery for using his trailer to keep our ice and water cold, the youth for singing, and everyone else that worked together to make the day great! ❤️

This may sound funny, but some days when Katie is done setting up her “special” salad bar on Thursday mornings, it looks so fresh and yummy, and yes! So PRETTY 🤩 that I marvel at her talents and inspiration when it comes to food! Today was one of those days. Today’s special is a sandwich bar. For those of you not lucky enough to be here to eat it, here - feast your eyes! 😁

… and sometimes it’s just the little things! Today I found this perfect, gorgeous butterfly enjoying the flowers in our Waterfall Court. A good reminder to keep an eye out for the bits of beauty in the midst of ordinary days.

Our Activity department gals went all out today and threw a special lunch for all of our male residents and staff (who were working today) in honor of Father’s Day. The menu was Country Style Ribs, Baked Beans, Potato Salad, Fresh Homemade Bread, and Ice Cream Bars. From the comments I heard, and the buzz of conversation that came out of the activity room, it appears that they greatly enjoyed it! Big thanks goes to Julie and her team for this special treat!
