major role in helping Macomb County’s own Martha T. Berry Medical
Care Facility evolve from a humble, 100-bed hospital to a
beautifully renovated,state-of-the-art, 217-bed skilled nursing
facility. Martha T. Berry is p

roud to be considered a “safety net”
within the community because of the care provided to vulnerable
residents who might not otherwise be able to afford skilled nursing
services. The majority of funding the facility receives for patient
care comes directly from Medicaid.

This Memorial Day, we pause to honor and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom. 🇺🇸

As we gather with family, friends, and community, we reflect on the courage, service, and selflessness that make this day so meaningful.

What an incredible honor 💙🐾

We are so proud that Martha’s Mutts was nominated for Macomb Community Mental Health’s Mental Health Matters Community Partner Champion Award. To be recognized for the work we do alongside our furry companions is deeply meaningful.

As the nomination shared, meaningful connection matters. For individuals in long-term care, life transitions, health challenges, and separation from familiar routines can create loneliness, anxiety, and emotional hardship.

Martha’s Mutts was created to bring comfort, companionship, joy, and moments of connection when they’re needed most.

Watching the impact that these animals have on our residents, families, and staff is something truly special. A wagging tail, a gentle cuddle, a familiar visit... sometimes the smallest moments create the biggest healing.

Thank you to Macomb Community Mental Health for this incredible recognition, and thank you to everyone who believes in the power of compassion, community, and the human-animal bond. 🐶✨

We are deeply grateful to for stepping in to support the purchase of our new resident van.

This van will help Martha T. Berry Medical Care Facility residents get to medical appointments, physical therapy, and essential outings with greater comfort and ease. It will also provide added transportation support for short trips and special outings when there is overflow from the bus.

Partnerships like this make a meaningful difference in the lives of the elders and residents we serve every day.
