Healthy Aging Month is an annual national observance celebrated each September. It was first established in 1992 by Carolyn Worthington, the creator of the Healthy Aging educational organization. The primary goal of the month is to draw national attention to the positive aspects of growing older. It encourages adults ages 45 and up to take charge of their health—physically, socially, and mentally. It is never too late to reinvent yourself!

Contact Lens Health Week is observed annually during the third full week of August. Organized by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, this event promotes safe contact lens wear, proper hygiene, and regular visits to eye care providers to prevent painful and serious eye infections. 👀

-Wash hands: Clean hands with soap and water, then dry them before touching lenses.
-No water contact: Keep water away from lenses and cases to avoid harmful micro-organisms.
-No sleeping in lenses: Remove contacts before bed unless specifically told to do so by your eye doctor.
-Clean and replace cases: Rinse your case with fresh solution, leave it open to air dry, and replace it every three months.
-Follow schedules: Stick strictly to your prescribed replacement timeline for daily, weekly, or monthly lenses.
