The first year of OTY, we were tucked inside the old Mt Holly Train Depot. Rustic doesn't even cover it, we didn't need frills, we had character. (A LOT of character!)
What I keep coming back to lately is our garden. With Katherine Metzo as the leader, we grew our own garden, right along the patio, Beautiful herbs and flowers. I always think of the zennias, they were my favorite.
We rolled our mats out there for outdoor practices, hosted potlucks under the open sky. Once, a student showed up with her own fire pit. Another time someone brought cucumbers for our eyes in savasana and cold towels for our feet.
A practice, people, plants, snacks, and a reason to linger. π§‘π΅π
I miss those times, AND I am super grateful for how this community has grown over the past 13 years.
And I am grateful to meet you in another garden for practice this Friday! πΏ

P.S. the manager of Calm Co. - C*D Dispensary (now in our train depot space) told me some of our flowers still come through in the spring. She clips them and makes arrangements out of them. π
