😃😄Doin' a little Front Porch Sittin'!🪑🪑🪑Betty and Corky seem to like this hot, hot weather and enjoy basking in the humidity. Little Chris is putting on her gloves to dig in the dirt. 🌺🌸🌼

😄😁😆Ronnie, Lisa, and Judy know that if you move too much in this heat, you'll overdo it, so it's best to just let the breeze come to you or create one with the chair you're rockin' in.

💚We added some new fluffier cushions in Providence green💚. Little Chris and Kim (Activities Director from up the hill at The Gardens) planted some flower barrels in Mother Nature's favorite hues ❤️💐💐💐💜 to spruce up the scenery, thanks to Needham's Nursery here in MJ.

🪀🥅Several residents participated in a rousing game of bag toss. It looks like Ms. Carolyn if giving lessons to Activities Direct Kim, but she's really just enjoying the fun and camaraderie with the others Bobbie, Russ, Clarence, and a few spectators like Lydia and Sue.

🫶 YUM!!!👩‍🍳🧑‍🍳👨‍🍳The resident chefs were in fine form this afternoon for No Bake cookies.🍪🍪🍪🥛🥛🥛 Clarence and Russ, Carolyn and Bobbie, Debbie and Judi would have gotten their hands dirty except for the blue rubber gloves. The conversation was interesting and lively, and the treats were tasty, so what else do you need besides a tall glass of milk! ❤️

👵🧓👩‍🦳🧑‍🦳👏👏🗣️🎸🪕🎻🎤🎼🎹 "I haven't heard that song in 40 years! but I love hearing it today. It nearly brought tears to my eyes remembering those great old days" was just one comment heard from the Activities Room this afternoon while Unbroken Music Circle played and sang for the residents. One visitors did get up to walk outside as he was getting chocked up from the group's version of Lee Greenwood's "Proud to be an American."

The crowd was a large and enthusiastic one, listening to early rock and roll, old country, and even songs dating back to before WWII. One of the Unbroken Music Circle claimed to be 90 years old himself, and we believe him. 😍👏🗣️🎼🎼🎹🎸🪕🎻 Music is helping keep us all young.

The usual porch sitters and many, many others enjoyed freezer pops with and from the Mt Juliet Police Department on one of the hottest days last past week. The residents were so excited that they even stopped the Bingo game to head outside for the refreshment. You know it's something special when Bingo gets delayed! Thanks Kim for a 2 hour Bingo game!

🐤🐣Where DO chickens come from?🐥 🐓

Some of the residents of Providence Place strolled up the hill to The Gardens to see the arrival of our latest project of interest--watching chicks hatch inside an incubator. Carolyn, Bobbie, Russ and Poppie all thought the process was interesting and look forward to popping in frequently to see what's crackin'. 🐥🐓

This was Providence Place's third animal contact on Thursday--quite the barnyard today to match the scenic bus ride on Wednesday to The Gardens' Activity Director Kim's horse barn.

👀🐐🐐The look of Surprise followed by Pure Joy 🥰😍🤣😂😆And that is the GOAT! or baby goats, 6 weeks old that we named Dolly and Johnny Cash today for their visit. We hope the names stick. Dean, Pat, Brenda, Jean, Carolyn, (nurse Katie), Debbie and others were overjoyed to hear the babies bleat and cry so they could cuddle them back to calm.
