Feelings week wrapped up, and our hearts are FULL 💛

This week was all about helping our kiddos explore, express, and understand their emotions—through play, creativity, and connection. From big smiles to tricky feelings, every moment was an opportunity to build communication and confidence.

Camped out at Bloom this week and it was one for the books! 🏕️✨

From pretend campfires and “nature” sensory bins to obstacle course hikes and themed crafts, our campers worked on speech, fine motor, gross motor, and feeding skills all through play! 🌲🧸

We practiced following directions, building strength and coordination, trying new foods, and engaging in imaginative play with friends 💛

Speech-Language Pathologists work on so much more than just talking. They support communication as a whole so individuals can connect, learn, and feel understood 💛

🗣️Speech sounds (articulation): helping children say sounds clearly so others can understand them

🧠Language & communication: building understanding and use of words, sentences, and conversation (both speaking and comprehension)

👩🏼‍🐰‍👩🏾Social skills: supporting turn-taking, perspective-taking, and navigating interactions with others

🍽️ Feeding & oral motor skills: help kiddos feel more confident eating a wider variety of foods and improving chewing, swallowing, and the coordination of the mouth for safe and efficient eating.

📚Early literacy foundations: strengthening skills like listening, vocabulary, and sound awareness

📱AAC & alternative ways of communicating: providing tools like picture systems or speech devices to help children communicate in ways that work best for them

Every child’s voice matters, and we’re here to help them use it in their own unique way!
