Heart failure prevention begins long before symptoms develop. A new scientific statement from the Heart Failure Association, European Association of Preventive Cardiology, Association of Cardiovascular Nursing & Allied Professions, and other ESC partners highlights evidence-based strategies to prevent heart failure across the lifespan.
The statement emphasizes the importance of risk factor management, healthy lifestyle behaviors, early identification of at-risk individuals, and multidisciplinary approaches to reducing the global burden of heart failure.
