e graduated from Belmont University in Nashville TN with a Master of Science degree in Occupational Therapy. She has experience working with Sensory Processing Dysfunction, Autism, ADHD, Cerebral Palsy, Down Syndrome, Developmental delay and anxiety disorders. Jeannie is a Certified Therapeutic Listening provider and has extensive training in Sensory Integration. Jeannie also conducts Home Safety evaluations for Aging in Place, including fall risk assessments and home safety modifications. She currently is an adjunct instructor for the OTA program with Rowan Cabarrus Community College. She received the Award of Outstanding Practice within Clinical Education Fieldwork
from the North Carolina Occupational Therapy Association in 2019 and has a passion for mentoring students. Jeannie sits on the Advisory Committee board for RCCC OTA program. Restored Hope Therapy Services, PLLC has a vision of integrating independent
lifestyles with community. The heart behind Restored Hope is to serve not only families but the community by restoring hope in individual lives.

Feeding therapy involves oral structures, oral motor, and sensory processing. BUT also we need to be looking at the whole child.
How is their sleep?
Are they a mouth breather?
What are their bowel patterns and GI health?

One easy thing to change is getting outside first thing in the morning to improve sleep patterns.

Morning sunlight supports healthy circadian rhythms, helping improve sleep quality, emotional regulation, attention, and overall nervous system regulation in children ☀️🌿
Even a few minutes outdoors in the morning can provide meaningful benefits that also relate to feeding therapy.

Our Speech department is growing 🌿 Welcome Ms Meg to the team. She will be serving our families in homes & community 🎉

Meg attended Wake Forest University for her undergraduate degree in teaching. She taught for two years in Nashville, TN. Meg then received her Master’s degree in Speech Pathology from Idaho State University in 2002.
Meg has 24 years of experience working with articulation, language, fluency and the severe and profound populations in both the school setting and early intervention. In her clinical experience Meg has worked on assistive technology teams, developed experience in pediatric feeding disorders, and has been certified to implement Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS).
Meg enjoys working in natural environments and in particular likes incorporating functional communication strategies in the home, daycare and school settings.
Meg loves traveling, spending time with her two kids and family, needlepointing, paddleboarding and getting outside.
