Denim Day is a response to erroneous and destructive attitudes about sexual harassment, abuse, assault and r**e. We ask community members, elected officials, businesses and students to make a social statement with their fashion statement and wear jeans with a purpose.

It's the month of February and love is in the air! Love isn't always "all you need" though. A healthy relationship (whether romantic, friendship, family, parent/child, etc.) takes hard work. In a parent/child relationship, it's the job of the parent(s) to teach and demonstrate healthy modeling of these characteristics. A healthy relationship consists of things like:

* Reciprocal respect

* Healthy boundaries

* Accountability- owning up to
mistakes and making the effort
to "right" them

* Mutual support

* Independence while also being able
to depend on the other person to be
there for you when you need them to
be. (A healthy relationship consists of
You-Me-Us. All 3 of these
components must be present to
be healthy)

* Healthy communication

* Healthy conflict resolution

* Trust and honesty

* The space and acceptance to grow
as an individual AND together

YOU are loveable and YOU are worthy. ❤
