Today, we join our fellow South Carolinians in mourning the passing of Senator Lindsey Graham.

For decades, Senator Graham dedicated his life to public service, representing the people of South Carolina and serving our nation. His years of service and commitment to our state will be remembered by many.

As funeral service professionals, we are reminded that every life leaves a legacy and that times of loss call us to extend compassion, dignity, and respect. Today, we pause to honor a fellow South Carolinian and extend our sympathy to all who mourn his passing.

On behalf of the South Carolina Funeral Directors Association, we offer our heartfelt condolences to Senator Graham’s family, friends, colleagues, and loved ones. May they find comfort and peace in the days ahead.

The NFDA Board of Directors is elected by the membership. When you vote, you’re helping determine the future direction of the association, the priorities it pursues and the leadership that represents you in Washington, D.C. and across the profession.

Those elected will serve one-year terms beginning following the 2026 NFDA International Convention & Expo in Charlotte NC. The individual elected as president-elect will automatically assume the role of president following the 2027 NFDA International Convention & Expo.

Dear Friends,

I am truly honored to serve as the 2026-2027 President of the South Carolina Funeral Directors Association.

First, I would like to express my sincere appreciation to Lance Wimberly for his outstanding leadership during the past year. Lance's dedication to our profession and to this association has left a lasting impact, and I thank him for his service. I would also like to thank everyone who helped make our recent Summer Convention such a tremendous success.

Funeral service has been my life's calling. It has been the privilege of a lifetime to serve countless families during some of their most difficult moments. Never did I imagine that one day I would have the opportunity to serve as President of this great association. SCFDA is one of the most respected funeral service organizations in our profession, and this position carries not only great honor, but also great responsibility.


Thanks to the vision and dedication of those who came before us, the leadership of our outstanding Executive Director, the guidance of our trusted legal counsel, and our continued legislative efforts, SCFDA has remained at the forefront of advancing our profession.

I have the utmost confidence in the talented team of committee members serving alongside me this year. Together, we will work diligently to continue the legacy of putting families first while supporting the funeral professionals who serve them every day.

As we look toward the future, we will embrace new opportunities while preserving the sacred traditions that define our profession. We will continue to advocate for funeral service through legislative engagement, professional education, and investment in the next generation of funeral service professionals.

The strength of SCFDA has always been its members, and I encourage each of you to remain active and engaged in the work of our association. I also want to express our sincere appreciation to our vendors and industry partners. Your continued support plays an essential role in the success of our association and the service we provide to our communities.

My door is always open. I look forward to hearing from you and will do my best to serve and assist our membership in any way I can.
