🎉 **National Assisted Living Week continues at Heritage Park Village!** 🎉

Yesterday was **Hat Day**, and our residents and staff had fun showing off their favorite hats!

Today we traveled back in time for **Decades Day**, bringing out some of our favorite styles and memories from years gone by!

Can you guess our decades pictured???

💡 **Decades Fun Fact:** Music has an incredible connection to memory — sometimes just a few notes from an old favorite can bring back memories from decades ago. 🎶

🏡 **Assisted Living Fun Fact:** Did you know Heritage Park Village is a **Type B Assisted Living community?** This allows us to serve residents across a wide range of care needs. Someone may move in while still very independent and simply ready to enjoy retirement without the responsibilities of living alone. As their needs increase over the years, we can often provide the additional support they need to **age in place and continue calling Heritage Park Village home.** ❤️

🤠 We kicked off **National Assisted Living Week** with a little Texas flair for **Western Wear Day!** 🌵🐴

In honor of Western Day, here are TWO fun facts — one about our great state and one about assisted living!

⭐ **Texas Fun Fact:** Texas is home to more farms and ranches than any other state in the U.S. — so we know a thing or two about Western living!

💙 **Assisted Living Fun Fact:** Assisted living is about so much more than care. It’s about helping seniors maintain their independence while enjoying friendship, activities, support, and a community that feels like home.

We’re looking forward to celebrating our residents, staff, families, and the wonderful world of assisted living all week long! 🤠❤️

August has come and gone but we had a great month here at Heritage Park!

Our wonderful Activity Director hosted a fantastic prom night for our residents. We had Dale Cummings as entertainment, from Enhabit Home Health & Hospice provided punch, Becca the face of our front desk and Katie helped get everyone dolled up including gel manicures and makeup.

We had friends and family join and even a special surprise from the Titus County Sheriff's Department

A little Heritage Park pride! 💙 We’re excited to celebrate our Executive Director, Amy Hess, as this week’s Rotarian of the Week with the Mount Pleasant Rotary Club! We love seeing our team involved in and giving back to the community we call home. 💛

Meet Amy Hess, Executive Director of Heritage Park Village Assisted Living and a proud member of the Mount Pleasant Rotary Club for the past year! 💙💛

One of Amy’s favorite Rotary memories has been volunteering with the Christmas Parade during her first year as a Rotarian and watching the vision come together. 🎄✨

For Amy, Mount Pleasant has always been home. Her husband’s family and her own have deep roots here, and after spending more than 17 combined years living in different places during her husband’s military career, they ultimately chose Mount Pleasant as the place to put down roots and build their home. She loves the traditions, values, familiar connections, and genuine sense of community that make Mount Pleasant feel like home. ❤️

Amy’s favorite quote is: “A woman with vision doesn’t wait for opportunity—she creates it.” ✨

We’re grateful to have Amy as part of our Rotary family and look forward to seeing the vision and leadership she continues to bring to our club and community!
