We expected to see dolphins, which we did. We did not expect to see marathon swimmers. No tricks and all treats today. This was impressive. We treat swimmers, tennis players and golfers all the way to avid readers (neck pain) in their favorite nook. Take care as we finish 2021, and let us know how we can give you relief and provide recovery as we close out October, National Physical Therapy month.

One year ago Momentum opened its doors to provide more people with the opportunity to have their chronic and acute pain eliminated through simple, yet effective exercise. We would like to thank everyone who has supported us and helped guide us through this journey.

June is Scoliosis awareness month. Scoliosis is a condition that we treat at Momentum Physical Therapy in Mt. Pleasant. You may have tried treatment before and felt discouraged because you did not receive any meaningful relief. And you may have felt more aggravated in your areas of pain. Do not give up or think that you do not have solutions for your condition. People with Scoliosis are more sensitive to the type of exercise performed.

Online articles and exercise suggestions are great to get conversations started with your physical therapist and not as great to actually use for your treatment. Of all the Scoliosis cases I have treated in the past year, not one person received the same exercise handout. Targeted and specific exercises are the only programs we provide. All Scoliosis patients treated this year reported greater than 50% improvement in their pain and were able to get back to doing the activities they wanted to do. We always strive at Momentum for patients to receive full relief. Fifty percent or greater relief for Scoliosis patients with a more significant curve is a big deal.
