You wear your glasses every day, and they're one of the first things people notice about you. The right pair does more than help you see. It makes you feel like yourself. πŸ‘οΈβœ¨

Not sure where to start? Your face shape is a good clue:

Round face β†’ Angular frames add structure and definition
Square face β†’ Soft, rounded frames ease strong lines
Oval face β†’ Lucky you, almost anything works
Heart-shaped face β†’ Bottom-heavy or rimless styles create gentle balance

But a frame that looks great on the shelf can feel all wrong once it's on your face. We've all been there.

That's why we do things a little differently at Family Vision Care. We take the time to get to know you, your style, and what your day actually looks like, so the glasses you leave with are ones you'll want to wear. πŸ‘“

As Halloween approaches, we want to make sure our patients stay safe while having fun. Non-prescription costume contacts may seem like a simple way to complete a look, but they can lead to infections, eye injuries, and even permanent vision loss. πŸŽƒ

Your eyes deserve the same care on Halloween as they do every other day of the year. If you're considering costume contacts, the team at Family Vision Care is here to help you find a safe, prescription option fitted specifically for you.

10/05/2026

Dry Eye Syndrome (DES) occurs when the eyes are unable to produce or maintain enough healthy tears, resulting in symptoms such as itchiness, redness, and soreness. In fact, over 80% of cases are linked to blocked oil glands, a condition known as meibomian gland dysfunction. πŸ‘οΈ

πŸ”Ž Common contributing factors include age, hormonal changes, dry environments, certain medications, and autoimmune conditions.

Fortunately, DES is treatable. At Family Vision Care in Mt. Pleasant, we offer Intense Pulsed Light (IPL), Low Light Level Therapy (LLLT), Radiofrequency (RF), and LipiFlow to help patients achieve lasting relief. Our Mt. Pleasant location also has a Plasma Pen, and our on-site dry eye technician, Rebecca Bonner, is available to assist you with your dry eye needs.

✨ If you're experiencing dry, gritty, or tired eyes, early treatment can make a significant difference. Schedule a visit today, and your eye doctor will help determine the best treatment plan for you: https://elevatemyeyes.com/location/family-vision-care-mt-pleasant/

πŸ‘“ As the seasons change, so does your child's eye health.

When school starts back up, three things tend to happen at once: more time indoors, more time on books and screens, and less natural daylight. Eye care professionals have found this combination can accelerate nearsightedness in children - especially during the winter months. πŸ‚

πŸ“ Schedule an appointment today and ask your child's eye doctor about Stellest lenses - a lens option designed to help slow the progression of myopia in children: https://elevatemyeyes.com/location/family-vision-care-mt-pleasant/

The earlier you catch changes in their vision, the more options you'll have to help. πŸ’™

🌍 It’s not just sight. It’s an entire future.

For children in rural and underserved communities, something as simple as distance or transportation costs can stand between them and the eye care they need.

Through the One School at a Time program, the African Eye Institute, with funding support from Optometry Giving Sight, is bringing vision cared directly to children who might otherwise go without. The program will provide vision screening to 20,000 children and train more than 200 local residents in vision screening and referring protocols. πŸ‘“πŸ’š

By supporting the World Sight Day Challenge, we're helping make stories like these possible.
