Finding a thyroid specialist in your area can be a difficult process. How do you go about finding someone if you’re new to an area and don’t know anyone?

The American Thyroid Association has a great tool on their website where you can find a thyroid specialist in your area. Simply go to their website and click the ‘Find an Endocrinology - Thyroid Specialist’ under the patients tab, describe your needs, and what area you are living in and the website will populate the providers in your area! This is a fantastic resource for thyroid patients!

Let’s talk inflammation.... Inflammation is a huge issue with autoimmune disease and causes complications with weight loss.

Not only can constant inflammation cause your body to struggle to get rid of fat, it can also affect your exercise. Chronic inflammation can limit the amount of exercise you can do due to joint pain and muscle aches. By reducing inflammation you will not only feel better, but also have better success with weight loss and exercise.

Here are some anti-inflammatory foods to add into your diet:

- Nuts 🌰
- Fatty fish 🐟 or olive oil
