One introduction nearly three years ago has grown into a meaningful Artisan tradition. ⛪💛

Our resident Myrtice first introduced The AMP to her church, Bibleway Baptist church , where Pastor Larry Bratton leads the congregation. That connection led Pastor Bratton to begin our Friday Bible Study group, which regularly welcomes 12 to 20 members.

This time, we took the trip to Bibleway! Driver Bob brought Patsy, Dorothy, Glenda, and Myrtice to attend a church service, where they spent time with members of the congregation afterward.

Thank you to Myrtice for making the introduction that started it all, and to Pastor Bratton and the Bibleway congregation for continuing to welcome The Artisan!

There’s always more to discover about the place we call home! 🏛️

The Artisan Mount Pleasant headed to The Charleston Museum, founded in 1773 while the American colonies were still under British rule. Known as “America’s First Museum,” it offered Lee, Mary Ann, Ron, Joyce, Jack, Patsy, and Bob a closer look at the history that has shaped Charleston over the centuries.

For our residents at the AMP, exploring a museum with roots nearly as old as the city itself was a fitting way to learn more about beautiful, historic Charleston, South Carolina!

Sixty years together called for a toast! 🥂

On August 13th, Don and Pat marked their 60th anniversary surrounded by more than 40 of their friends and neighbors at AMP. The celebration included Bundtini cakes and a prosecco toast in honor of Don and Pat’s marriage.

We traded the usual Saturday plans for something a little more wild! 🐍

Nearly 40 residents joined us on August 8 for an interactive workshop with South Carolina Aquarium educators Juliette and Issac, who brought along a corn snake, two turtles, and a hermit crab. Instead of simply observing from a distance, our residents had the chance to touch and handle the animals while learning more about each one.

With a packed house and four fascinating animal guests, this was one Saturday afternoon worth getting up close for!

What happens in Vegas… comes to The Artisan! ♠️♦️

Our brought the action of the gaming floor right to the community, with blackjack dealt by Maintenance Director Josh and poker hosted by DJ Duck. Both tables quickly became crowd favorites as everyone settled in for friendly competition.

This was definitely a winning night at The Artisan Mt. Pleasant! 🎲

Cruise Week made a stop in the islands for ! 🌺🌴

To get into the tropical spirit, everyone crafted their own floral head wreaths and wore them to our Happy Hour Luau. It was the perfect way to celebrate with tropical flair and good company.

Anchors aweigh! ⚓🚢

The Artisan Cruise Week kicked off with a bang! Amy, our fearless cruise director, led Barbara F., John, Robin, Linda, Barbara R., Don, Charlie, Anne, Lavinia, Myrtice, Carol, and driver Bob on a 2.5-hour dinner cruise through Charleston Harbor. Thankfully, we made it back without a detour to Gilligan's Island!

The cruise included a delicious dinner, live music, dancing, and beautiful harbor views. "Ahoy" to a successful first voyage, and stay tuned... there were more adventures on the horizon and we're excited to share!

Some birthdays deserve an extra standing ovation, and Bill's 102nd was certainly one of them. 🎉

Friends and neighbors packed the Artisan wine bar to celebrate one of our community's most beloved residents, World War II veteran Bill. With his ever-present smile and kind words for everyone he meets, Bill has touched countless lives, and the abundance of love on his special day was a reflection of just how much he means to our community.

Zest Director Amy brought the celebration to life, filling the room with memorabilia from 1924, a whiteboard covered in heartfelt birthday messages from fellow residents, and a champagne toast in Bill's honor. The celebration ended on the perfect note as Bill took the microphone to sing his signature karaoke favorite, "My Way", a fitting finale for the special occasion.

Happy 102nd Birthday, Bill! Here's to celebrating you and the incredible life you've lived. 🤍
