Why turmeric?

Turmeric (Curcuma longa) has been valued for thousands of years, with a long history of use in Ayurvedic and other traditional Asian medicine systems.

Its golden color comes largely from curcumin, one of turmeric’s best-known naturally occurring compounds. Today, turmeric and curcumin continue to be extensively studied for their antioxidant and anti-inflammatory activity.

And ginger has an impressive history of its own. Used since ancient times, ginger has traditionally been valued for digestion and gastrointestinal comfort and continues to be studied today.

GreenTree Co-op Market was one of the very first places in Mount Pleasant that we had our hearts set on carrying Rooted, and we’re so excited to announce that it’s officially our FIRST retail location!

Starting later this afternoon, you can stop into GreenTree and grab your favorite Rooted cold-pressed wellness shots right from the cooler. 🌱

Seeing our little bottles on the shelves of a local business we’ve admired from the beginning is such an exciting milestone.
