I am Chera Sabankaya, state licensed professional counselor (OR & CA), Nat'l Board Certified Counselor, 2009 bachelor minor in criminology and 2011 Summa Cum Laude graduate of Southern Oregon University's Masters in Mental Health Counseling Program with 12 mo grad internship as a primary care therapist at Siskiyou County Behavioral Health's Children's System of Care. I have focused the scope of my
private practice on three very specialized (and desperately underserved) groups at high risk of suicidality within our community. Since grad school in 2011, I have been treating people with gender dysphoria, in 2016 I began helping our veterans/military with PsychArmor training, and recently I earned my certification as a first responder counselor and peer support leader/training to provide crisis/cumulative trauma support, and emotional agility training for our first responders.
