Our community came together for a meaningful moment of respect and remembrance. 🇺🇸

We recently noticed that our flag had begun to show signs of wear, and with Flag Day upon us, it was the perfect time to retire it with dignity. Richard, Don, and Norm — 3 of our cherished veterans — led a beautiful ceremony. They read the moving narrative “I Am Old Glory” and guided us in reciting the Pledge of Allegiance one final time for our retiring flag, and then for the very first time for our new one. 🫡

Their presence and voices gave the moment a depth only lived experience can bring. After a careful folding, our veterans prepared the flag for its next step: an official retirement at our local American Legion. We are grateful for their service, their leadership, and the reverence they bring to traditions that bind us together. ❤️🤍💙

What a perfect Skagit County day for an adventure! 🐟

Wendy, Paul, Socorro, and Janet headed out to the beautiful Padilla Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve in Bay View, where the sun was shining, the birds were singing, and the whole place felt alive. ☀️ It was the ideal day to learn about the environment around us — and then step right into it with a peaceful, beautiful walk. 🪻 Grateful for days like this and the people who make them even better. 🪸

Today was full of smiles and a little bit of magic in the kitchen! 🧈🌿

Our residents had a wonderful time learning from Ginger as she showed them how to make homemade butter and infuse it with fresh herbs. Everyone had a blast shaking the whipping cream and watching the transformation happen right before their eyes — from liquid cream to rich, creamy butter and buttermilk! 🥛

Robert was especially excited when he saw the buttermilk and couldn’t wait to give it a taste—he even shared some with Socorro, making the moment even sweeter. 💛

Hands-on experiences like this bring not only learning, but lots of laughter and connection. What a fun and flavorful day!

Today’s craft time bloomed into something magical. 🌸 Our residents designed the cutest flowerpot ladies and gave each one a unique backstory — some sassy, some sweet, all absolutely charming. It turns out a little paint, a few plants, and a lot of imagination make the perfect recipe for smiles! 🎨

🍓✨ Cheers to a Fun Friday Happy Hour! ✨🍹

Our Friday Happy Hour was full of laughter, great conversations, and delicious drinks! Denise, Paul, Socorro, and Carol all enjoyed our refreshing strawberry mojito—available as both a cocktail and a mocktail (complete with a festive umbrella ☂️🍓).

The drinks were a hit, but the best part was watching everyone relax, connect, and share a few laughs — while also getting a glimpse of each other’s fun and “slightly” crazy personalities! 😄 We love seeing friendships grow and smiles all around. ✨ Prom magic visited our community this week! ✨

Zoey, one of our amazing volunteers, organized a beautiful Prom Fashion Show with her friends Yuri, Campbell, Mariela, and Daisy. All 5 girls lit up the room as they showed off their gorgeous prom fashions for this year.

Our ladies absolutely gushed over how stunning the girls looked. They reminisced about their own prom nights, shared stories, and laughed about how much prom traditions have changed over the years. A heartfelt thank‑you to Zoey and her friends for taking time out of their busy schedules to share their dresses, their excitement, and their experiences with us. You made our day brighter. 💖

🇺🇸 Our Memorial Day BBQ was a success — even with classic Washington “sunshine” (aka clouds). 😉

We grabbed a little fresh air while we could, then took the party inside and kept the good vibes going. Food, friends, and lots of laughs. ❤️

📸 Shirley, Nancy, Bertha, Richard, and Paul went all-in on Snapchat filters — and the results were priceless. Some filters boosted their natural glow, others turned them into absolute goofballs, and every single one had us laughing. 😂 Nothing like a little digital magic to bring out everyone’s inner superstar and cartoon character at the same time.
