Avery scared us yet again yesterday. We were waiting in the lobby at therapy and all of a sudden her head dropped to the right, her arms dropped and her eyes were going back and forth so fast. She was saying mama over and over and then seemed so confused, scared and very sleepy. I was pretty sure she had a seizure. We got her in the car as fast as we could and dad drove to the hospital on a mission. They got her back pretty fast and the doctors came in to evaluate her. Because of her history of seizures from her cardiac arrest when she was 6 weeks old plus the new brain injury this is something we were told could be a possibility. They started her on Keppra and also gave us a prescription for a rescue if she has one that last more than 3 mins. I’m praying that with the medication this won’t be a regular thing for Avery. We would do anything in this world for Avery. We love you Turkey 😘💕

Sweet girl!

HOME SWEET HOME!!
95 days later we got to bring our sweet sweet girl home today! It almost doesn’t seem real yet. Been so busy trying to get things organized and tons of medicine drawn up. It will definitely take us a little bit to get a good routine going. But we are all so happy to be home. Avery seemed scared in the car at first, she was squeezing my hand so tight. But since we’ve been home she has been really calm and content. When Junior was licking her face she even cracked a little smile.
We also want to thank every single person who has supported Avery & us during this extremely difficult time. We can’t thank y’all enough for all the prayers and different fundraisers & benefits!! Avery is so loved and we definitely feel it! Avery is a very special little girl and we are so thankful to be her parents! Love you Turkey 😘💗

Avery has had the best day! She has been really calm and comfortable today. I would say about 95% of the day! We just love her so much & I’m so thankful that she’s still in there fighting! Avery was literally born a fighter. Unfortunately she has had to endure so much pain since the day she was born. But I honestly could not be any more proud or thankful that she’s my daughter and that I get the privilege to be her mother and spend everyday for the rest of my life lovin on her!
