💊HRT‼️💉
HRT isn't inherently bad, and I'm not saying it should never be used. In many cases, it can be a valuable tool. However, if foundational factors aren't addressed first, you're often missing a big piece of the puzzle.
For many people, issues with blood sugar regulation, insulin, cortisol, leptin, sleep, stress, nutrition, and lifestyle may have contributed to the hormonal imbalance in the first place. And even when using HRT, your body still has to properly receive, metabolize, and utilize those hormones.
Insulin is one of the most overlooked hormones in the body. Along with leptin and cortisol, it plays a foundational role in regulating metabolism, energy production, appetite, inflammation, and the function of other hormones. When these foundational systems are out of balance, downstream hormones are often affected as well.
Rather than viewing HRT as the starting point, focus first on creating strong foundations and supporting optimal body function. Then, if additional support is needed, interventions such as HRT can often work more effectively within a healthier physiological environment.
