We are excited to share that the Kern Valley Hospital mobile blood and platelet drive, scheduled on Wednesday, July 5th, 8:00 am - 1:00 pm, is confirmed. We can now begin promoting the event.
Promotion: ALL successful donations will enter to have a chance to win a 4-piece patio set from Urner's.
Our goal is to collect 25 units of blood, with an opportunity to help save 75 lives in our community! There are always a few that are unable to donate for one reason or another, our challenge is to book all 63 available appointment slots! Below is a link that can be used to schedule appointments.

Making these appointments is important because it helps us see where we stand in meeting our projected goal, and helps our staff limit the donation wait times the day of the blood drive. Much like a doctor's office, HCBB staff can only take on so many at a time.
We are scheduled to take the 6-bed mobile unit for blood donations and 3-bed unit for the platelet donation. Our staff is scheduled to take lunch between 8:00 am to 10:00 am. During lunchtime, please limit the walk-in donors.
Donors are able to complete the donor questionnaire prior to showing up for their scheduled time but Questionnaire must be filled out on the DAY OF donation. The questionnaire link is below:

We are very excited to announce that we have a new Nurse Assistant Training Program (NATP) Instructor, Benjamin Torres – DSD LVN and we are preparing to start the NATP in April of 2023. We are currently accepting applications for the program. If you are interested in training to become a CNA, please submit your application for the program to HR as soon as possible.
