Curious about what a first Stemwave appointment with us looks like? Here’s a breakdown of what to expect from your Stemwave mapping session:

1️⃣ Rooming and brief overview
We’ll take you back to our treatment room where our Stemwave technician will provide a brief overview of what to expect during the mapping session. During this time, we’ll go over what the treatment looks like, what to expect, the benefits of Stemwave, and other procedural information.

2️⃣ Q&A and pre-assessment with a Doctor of Chiropractic
Once you feel sufficiently prepared, we’ll have one of our Doctors of Chiropractic step into the room to assist with a pre-treatment assessment. At this time, we’ll have you go through different movements to test your current pain level and range of motion. This is to have a comparison point between how you feel before and after Stemwave treatment.

3️⃣ Treatment with Stemwave technician
Our Stemwave technician begins the treatment. Stemwave sessions usually take between 5-10 minutes for the treatment portion. During treatment, our Stemwave technician will be collaborating with you to find the best combination of treatment strength and location.

4️⃣ Post-assessment and evaluation
Once the treatment is finished, we test the same movements as before the treatment. A large majority of patients after the mapping session (about 85-90%) feel an immediate 10-25% improvement in their pain and/or range of motion. If you are in the qualifying 85-90% of patients, we’ll then discuss the process of starting care and make tailored recommendations to you.
