๐Ÿ—ฃ๏ธ When you are feeling your emotions remember to accept them for what they are instead of judging them, and to be gentle towards yourself!

๐Ÿ”Ž By allowing yourself to fully experience your emotions you can also figure out what the feeling means or where it is coming from.

๐Ÿ’ค When you're depressed, your sleep, concentration, appetite, and interest in daily activities are all affected.

๐Ÿ”‹ Changes in mood, energy level, and behavior are also important signs.

๐Ÿ”Ž Anxiety is often experienced internally making it hard for others on the outside to notice it.

๐Ÿง  Anxiety can affect our thought patterns, expectations for ourselves, and alter our perception of the world.

๐Ÿ™Œ People living with anxiety may appear organized, helpful, and hardworking when on the inside they are overwhelmed and struggling.

๐Ÿ’œ Remember to be kind to those around you as you don't know what battles they are fighting.

๐Ÿง Those who are codependent often have unhealthy dependence on relationships and a fear of abandonment, which leads them to take any measure to hold on to them.

โœจIf you do notice a certain area is more often affected you should try to be intentional and take steps to make positive changes.

๐Ÿ’ญ Perfectionists typically set high expectations for themselves and others, and find it frustrating when these expectations are not met.

๐Ÿ”Ž It is not uncommon for perfectionists to be very self critical, which leads them to have trouble accepting mistakes or personal failures.

๐Ÿ—ฃ๏ธ This self criticism also plays into successes as perfectionists are unlikely to celebrate themselves when they do something well because of their very high standards.

๐Ÿ˜จ As a result of trauma, we may feel numb, unsafe, or unable to trust others.

๐Ÿ—ฃ๏ธ Trauma may also cause us to become easily distracted, less likely to advocate for ourselves, and increasingly agitated and irritable.

๐Ÿšถโ€Trauma is not only stored in the brain, but also in the body. Therefore, it's possible that you may experience physical effects as well, such as muscle tension and fatigue.

๐Ÿง  Worry often results from a specific threat or concern, whereas anxiety doesn't always have an identifiable threat associated with it.

๐Ÿ‘€ Worrying is also usually more realistic and solution focused, whereas anxiety is typically more related to fear and the unknown.

๐Ÿ‘‚ According to the National Library of Medicine, "Exercise improves mental health by reducing anxiety, depression, and negative mood and by improving self-esteem and cognitive function."

๐Ÿ’Ÿ Therefore, exercise is a great way to take care of your mind and to ease the effects of mental health issues.

๐Ÿ”‹ Grief can show up physically as anxiety and panic attacks, changes in eating or sleeping, digestive issues, headaches and body pains, anger, and fatigue/ energy loss.

๐ŸŒธ Be gentle with yourself if you are grieving, and remember that these are often your body's responses to grief.
