My favorite movie is Lorenzo’s Oil. His parents searched and found answers for their child. He was not autistic, he needed a special oil to help him stop losing the myelin around his neural pathways. It inspired me to research our son’s diagnosis of a cancer syndrome and his missing tumor suppressor. I became an expert in Gorlin Syndrome/ BCCNS -Basal Cell Carcinoma Nevis syndrome. To the point that I was invited to speak and taught the Med students at SLU - St. Louis about it 3 different years.
I love it when Parents research and seek answers! This gal has done a lot of it for you and made a difference for her formerly Non-Verbal child!! Very inspiring! Horses can help, but we are closed currently, due to my foot injury and insurance issues. We are working on exciting options for expansion with more Instructors someday to get everyone off the wait list… even some able-bodied rider lessons… but maybe there are other ways to help your child here in the meantime!
