"No pain, no gain" doesn't really apply to massage therapy.

Many people assume that if a massage doesn't hurt, it isn't working. In reality, your muscles are far less likely to relax when your body is bracing against excessive pressure.

A skilled therapist isn't trying to overpower your muscles. They're working with your nervous system. The right amount of pressure helps your brain recognize that it's safe to let go of tension. Too much pressure can have the opposite effect, causing muscles to tighten even more.

The most effective massage isn't always the deepest. It's the one that gives your body exactly what it needs.

Today we're celebrating Allen and four years with Peaceful Waters! 🎉

While much of his work happens behind the scenes, it makes a lasting impact every day. From helping maintain our facilities to caring for the property that will one day become the home of our future building, Allen faithfully takes care of the things that often go unnoticed but matter deeply.
