📱 How much screen time is too much?

More importantly… how are our kids sitting while they use it?

Whether they're doing homework, gaming, or watching their favorite shows, good posture can make a big difference in protecting growing spines and reducing unnecessary strain.

Here are a few simple reminders:
✅ Keep the screen at eye level whenever possible.
✅ Sit with feet flat on the floor and back supported.
✅ Relax the shoulders and avoid hunching forward.
✅ Take frequent breaks using the 20-20-20 Rule:
👀 Every 20 minutes, look at something 20 feet away for 20 seconds.

Small adjustments today can help prevent neck pain, headaches, and poor posture habits as children grow.

Healthy habits start young—and their spine will thank them! 💙

🎒📚 Backpack Safety Matters! 📚🎒

As kids head back to school, their backpacks shouldn't be weighing them down—literally!

A backpack that doesn't fit properly or is overloaded can place unnecessary stress on a growing spine, leading to neck, shoulder, and back pain.

Here are a few simple tips to keep your child comfortable and healthy:

✅ The top of the backpack should sit just below the shoulders.
✅ The bottom should rest at the top of the hips—not below the low back.
✅ Tighten the shoulder straps so the backpack stays close to the body.
✅ Always use both shoulder straps to distribute weight evenly.
✅ Keep the total weight of the backpack between 10–15% of your child's body weight.

💡 Bonus Tip: Clean out backpacks every week! Extra books, toys, water bottles, and forgotten supplies can quickly add unnecessary weight.

If your child complains of back pain, shoulder discomfort, headaches, or you notice changes in posture during the school year, it may be time for a chiropractic evaluation.

Let's help our kids start the school year with healthy habits and strong spines!

📚✨Back-to-school season is here!✨📚

A healthy school year starts with more than just backpacks and school supplies.

🧠 Strong spines support sharp minds. When your child's spine and nervous system are functioning at their best, they can better adapt to the physical and mental demands of the classroom—from carrying heavy backpacks to sitting at desks, focusing, learning, and growing.

As your family checks off the back-to-school to-do list, don't forget a chiropractic wellness check!

✔️ Improve posture
✔️ Support focus and concentration
✔️ Help reduce aches from backpacks and screen time
✔️ Keep growing bodies moving their best

Let's help your child start the school year healthy, confident, and ready to learn! 🍎✏️

🔥 Fire Up Your Core—Not Your Back! 🔥

A strong core is one of the best defenses against low back pain. By improving stability and supporting your spine, simple exercises can help you move better, prevent injuries, and keep doing the activities you love.

Try adding these three spine-friendly exercises to your routine:

✅ Bird Dog – Improves lumbar stability, coordination, and spinal control.

✅ Glute Bridge – Strengthens the glutes, hamstrings, and deep core muscles that support the lower back.

✅ Dead Bug – Builds deep abdominal stability while maintaining a neutral spine.

Remember, exercise should challenge you—not cause pain. If you're experiencing back pain or aren't sure which exercises are right for you, chiropractic care can help identify the source of your discomfort and create a plan to keep you moving well.

☀️🏕️ Protect Your Back This Summer! 🏖️🌿

Summer fun often means lifting coolers, hauling camping gear, moving patio furniture, and tackling yard projects. While these activities are great for making memories, they can also put extra strain on your back if you're not careful.

Remember these back-saving tips:
✅ Keep objects close to your body
✅ Bend at your knees—not your waist
✅ Lift with your legs, not your back
✅ Avoid twisting while carrying heavy items
✅ Ask for help when a load is too heavy

Taking a few extra seconds to lift properly can help prevent injuries and keep you active all season long.

Regular chiropractic care can also help maintain proper spinal alignment, improve mobility, and keep your body ready for all your summer adventures!

🪑 Protect Your Posture This Summer! ☀️

Whether you're working from home, relaxing by the pool, cheering at sporting events, or traveling on vacation, the way you sit matters more than you think.

Take a quick posture check:
✔️ Are your hips level with or slightly higher than your knees?
✔️ Is your low back supported?
✔️ Are you sitting back in your chair instead of leaning forward?
✔️ Does your lower back feel relaxed rather than strained?

Small adjustments to your sitting position can help reduce stress on your spine, improve comfort, and prevent aches and pains before they start.

If you're noticing stiffness, discomfort, or poor posture habits, chiropractic care can help restore proper alignment and keep you feeling your best all summer long.
