π¨β¨ Creating Opportunities Through the Arts at The Haase House β¨π¨
We are so grateful to the Stackner Family Foundation for supporting opportunities that allow our young adults to explore creativity, build confidence, and discover new interests! π
At The Haase House, our mission is about more than teaching daily living skills β it is about helping individuals build a meaningful, fulfilling life. That includes discovering healthy leisure activities, hobbies, and passions that support the mind, body, and overall well-being. π±
For many young adults with disabilities, opportunities to participate in the arts have not always been accessible. Specialized classes can be costly, and traditional art experiences are not always designed with their unique learning needs in mind. Too often, the focus has been on someone doing the art for them rather than creating opportunities for individuals to explore what they can do independently.
Through this grant-funded program, our clients are working with a special instructor to explore different forms of creative expression, learn new skills, and β most importantly β discover what brings them joy. π¨β¨
We are excited about the possibilities ahead. A new passion could lead to:
π A lifelong hobby
π Greater independence
π A way to connect socially with others
π Or even the beginning of a small business or creative venture
Thank you, Stackner Family Foundation, for helping us create opportunities where our young adults can discover their talents, express themselves, and continue building lives filled with purpose and choice. π
