The Muleshoe Area Medical Center (MAMC) has been surveyed by the Center for Improvement in Healthcare Quality (CIHQ) and has successfully met the requirements for Hospital Accreditation by demonstrating compliance with CIHQ Standards and the Conditions of Participation by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. This recognition reflects the hospital’s continuous commitment to safety and quality patient care.

MAMC was subjected to a rigorous unannounced onsite assessment earlier this month. The CIHQ team toured the hospital, reviewed medical records, observed care practices, and interviewed staff and patients.

“CIHQ’ goal is to partner with hospitals to improve the care provided in our communities,” states Richard Curtis, Chief Executive Officer of CIHQ. “CIHQ is proud to recognize MAMC for achieving accreditation.”

MAMC CEO Dennis Fleenor thanked the entire MAMC staff, stating; “Thank you for the tremendous hard work, dedication, and teamwork that led to our successful CIHQ accreditation. This achievement reflects the commitment each of you brings to our organization every day, and I am incredibly proud of what we accomplished together.”

Important Clinic Update

To ensure our team continues providing the dedicated, high-quality care you deserve, we are adjusting our schedule.

Beginning Monday, September 14, 2026, our clinic hours will be:

⚬ Monday – Friday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (closed between noon and 1pm for lunch)
⚬ Saturday – Sunday: Closed

These hours will remain in place until further notice. Our commitment to your health and well-being remains our top priority, and we look forward to seeing you during these updated hours.

A huge thank you to our friends at LBK Roofing out of Lubbock for treating the Muleshoe Area Hospital District team to an incredible evening!

Our staff was treated to fantastic steak dinners at Old Fashioned BBQ & Grill, and everyone even got to take home fresh steaks from Old Fashioned Butchery & Market. The food was absolutely outstanding, and the generosity shown to our healthcare team made it a night to remember.

LBK Roofing previously did roof and stucco work on our MAMC building, and their continued support of our facility and our people means the world to us. Strong community partnerships keep us going, and gestures like this show just how much our hard-working staff is valued.

Thank you again to LBK Roofing for the unforgettable meal, and to the team at Old Fashioned BBQ & Grill and Butchery for taking such great care of us!

CNO Dr. Sharp would like to give a shout out to the exceptional work by ER staffers Lyndie and Amanda in repainting/decorating the ER staff break room. According to Dr. Sharp, "Lyndie did a phenomenal job in repainting the break room walls and cabinets, and Amanda created the ID tags for the staff lockers." Great work you two, and the break room looks fantastic! Just need to know your availability for some rooms I need repainted at my house (I hate painting). 😄

We were glad to be able to participate in this event put on by the staff of ParkView Nursing Care Center. Fantastic turnout and we met some incredible people. Looking forward to doing this again in the future.
