Can you believe it’s been ONE YEAR since Villa Maria and Maria Court have become ministries of Catholic Care Center? Together we’ve learned, we’ve grown, and we’ve continued the mission of knowing, loving, and serving seniors! We celebrated today by filming our new commercial in the morning and hosting an ice cream social in the afternoon!

National Speech-Language-Hearing month was in May, and we wanted to shine a light on our Speech Therapist for all that she does for Villa Maria and Maria Court, our long-term and assisted living residents, short-term rehab guests and outpatients! Taryn, you have been so amazing and we could not thank you enough!

For those who aren't quite sure what speech therapy focuses on, we wanted to share that Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) in Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNFs) evaluate, diagnose, and treat residents and rehab guests with speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders. Their primary goals are to ensure resident safety, maximize functional independence, and improve the overall quality of life for both short-term rehabilitation patients and long-term care residents. 💓
