🚨 Parents, please pay attention to what children may be exposed to online. 🚨
Today, August 20, 2026, I was given the opportunity to attend a training session about 764, a violent online network that targets vulnerable children and teens. If you haven’t heard about it, please take a moment to read the information below and educate yourself.
These predators may use Roblox, Discord, Fortnite, Minecraft, online gaming chats, social media, and other apps to contact children. They may pretend to be friends, gain their trust, ask them to keep secrets, and then use manipulation, threats, blackmail, or inappropriate requests to control them.
Gaming itself is not the problem, but predators can use game chats, voice chats, private messages, friend requests, and shared links to reach children.
Please talk with your children about:
✅ Never accepting friend requests from people they don’t know
✅ Never sharing photos, personal information, passwords, or their location
✅ Never moving a gaming conversation to another private app without telling an adult
✅ Telling a trusted adult if someone threatens them, asks for secrets, or makes them uncomfortable
✅ Blocking and reporting suspicious accounts
✅ Saving messages and screenshots as evidence
✅ Using parental controls, privacy settings, and chat restrictions.
Most importantly, remind your children that they will not be punished for coming to you for help. Predators depend on secrecy and fear. Stay involved, check who your children are communicating with, and remind them that they can always come to you.
