I believe its important to be transparent. I believe it is the successful path for healthy relationships of all types. This is my professional transparency:

People see a $100 massage and think the therapist is pocketing $100. I wish that were true.

The reality is that “1 hour massage” rarely means 1 hour of work.

For many massage therapists, 20 to 30 hands-on hours a week is considered full time because of the actual energy given and received, along with the physical demand on our bodies. And those hands-on hours don’t include:

• laundry
• sanitizing
• charting and client notes
• booking and scheduling .. marketing!
• supplies like oils, creams, sheets, detergents, and tools
• continuing education
• self-care so we can keep doing this work long term

On a $100 session, after expenses and taxes, my earnings are closer to $40 net.

I do this work because I genuinely care about helping people feel better. But I also think it’s important for clients to understand what goes into each session behind the scenes. Every appointment supports far more than the hour spent on the table.

Japan has unveiled the world’s first proven stem‑cell therapy for spinal injuries, enabling a paralyzed patient to regain mobility. The groundbreaking treatment uses stem cells to repair damaged spinal tissue, restore nerve connections, and stimulate neural regeneration, offering new hope for individuals with paralysis.

In early clinical application, the therapy demonstrated remarkable success, allowing the patient to regain voluntary movement and improved motor function. Researchers attribute these results to the stem cells’ ability to integrate with damaged tissue, promote repair, and reduce inflammation, ultimately supporting recovery that was previously considered impossible.

Experts caution that while the breakthrough is extraordinary, wider clinical trials are needed to confirm long‑term safety, efficacy, and applicability to different types of spinal injuries. The procedure also requires specialized facilities, skilled practitioners, and careful patient monitoring to achieve optimal outcomes.

This milestone underscores the transformative potential of regenerative medicine. Stem‑cell therapies may redefine the future of spinal injury treatment, offering patients renewed independence, enhanced quality of life, and the promise of recovery from conditions once deemed permanent. Continued research will likely expand applications and inspire new approaches to nerve and tissue regeneration.
