Strong legs don't just help you exercise—they help you live your life. 💪
Think about how many times a day you use your legs...
✔️ Standing up from a chair
✔️ Climbing stairs
✔️ Getting in and out of the car
✔️ Carrying groceries
✔️ Playing with your kids or grandkids
✔️ Walking the dog
These everyday movements become easier when your lower body is strong.
The best part? You don't need a gym or fancy equipment.
This week we are sharing four simple functional exercises you can do right at home:
🪑 Chair Squats – Build strength for getting up and down with ease.
🌉 Glute Bridges – Strengthen your hips and support your lower back.
↔️ Lateral Squats – Improve balance and side-to-side stability, which becomes increasingly important as we age.
🦶 Calf Raises – Strengthen your lower legs to improve walking, climbing stairs, and balance.
🎥 Here is a link to a demonstration video so you can follow along and perform each exercise safely and confidently.

Remember, strength training isn't about becoming a bodybuilder. It's about maintaining your independence, protecting your joints, reducing your risk of falls, and keeping your body capable of doing the things you love.
Challenge yourself this week: Complete this routine 2–3 times and notice how you feel. Small, consistent steps today can make a big difference in how you move tomorrow.
