As we get older, it can be easy to focus on what has changed rather than what still brings meaning and joy. Practicing self-kindness can make a big difference in emotional well-being.

Being kind to yourself might involve taking things one day at a time, giving yourself grace during difficult moments, or staying connected with others who understand your experiences.

Mental health support can provide a safe space to reflect, heal, and move forward with compassion for yourself.

Munising Memorial Hospital’s Senior Life Solutions supports older adults experiencing depression, anxiety, grief, or loneliness. You deserve care and understanding at every stage of life. Call 906-387-0701 or visit https://munisingmemorial.org to learn more.

⚠️Upcoming Construction ⚠️
Beginning Monday, July 20th, our Main Lobby Entrance will be closed to all foot traffic until further notice. Please use the Emergency Department exit during this time. We are replacing the sidewalk and driveway area with heated pavement. This will help prevent snow and ice buildup in the winter months. We understand this construction may cause inconvienence and we appreciate your understanding!

📢We are excited to announce a new service beginning this month! 📢

The Community Paramedicine Program is a referral based program designed to assist patients in their homes following discharge from the hospital and reduce the risk of patients being re-admitted. Carmen Perry, EMT-P will be leading this initiative for Munising Memorial Hospital in collaboration with our care management team, providing medication and disease education, ensuring safety in the home, and other support as recommended by primary care physician.

Our goal is to help keep our community healthy, safe, and improve health literacy. For any questions, please contact Carmen Perry at 906.387.0677.

An estimated $60 billion is lost in Medicare fraud, errors, and abuse every year. Medicare fraud, errors, and abuse cost people money, time, and well-being. The Senior Medicare Patrol (SMP) is empowering everyone to learn how they can prevent Medicare fraud from happening.

Join our SMP contact, Carol Horne on July 10th between 9am – 2pm at the Trenary Township Hall parking lot next to the Mobile Health Unit. Learn how to protect yourself and your loved ones and how we can all PREVENT, DETECT and REPORT Medicare fraud.

Report Fraud to SMP Hotline: 844-677-6424 (844-MPP-MICH) or [email protected]. Your local Senior Medicare Patrol (SMP) contact is Carol Horne, Education Outreach Coordinator. Carol has an office located in the Munising Memorial Hospital. · Call (906) 387-0683 or visit smpresource.org/ to learn more.

The SMP provides the public with the information they need to PROTECT themselves from Medicare fraud, errors, and abuse; DETECT potential fraud, errors, and abuse; and REPORT concerns. SMPs help educate and empower Medicare beneficiaries in the fight against health care fraud. Local SMPs can help with questions, concerns, or complaints about potential fraud and abuse issues. They also provide information and educational presentations.
