Our Northwest Indiana community has been through a lot over the past several days. The severe storms left many of our neighbors without power, caused damage to homes and vehicles, disrupted travel, delayed the start of school for many families, and created challenges none of us were expecting.
Through all of that, we could not be prouder of our OSNI team.
Many of our own employees were and still are dealing with power outages, damage, childcare changes, longer commutes, and plenty of uncertainty at home, yet they came together to make sure our offices were ready to reopen, and our patients were taken care of.
From checking equipment and getting our offices back up and running, to answering phones, adjusting provider schedules, changing locations and clinic times, and rescheduling patients as quickly as possible, it truly took a team effort.
And our patients noticed. ❤️
Within just the first few hours of clinic, several patients went out of their way to express how grateful they were for the communication, patience, kindness, and compassion they received from our staff. For some, simply being able to get back in to see their provider while they were in pain meant more than we could know.
A special shoutout to our call center, front desk teams, clinical staff, providers, therapy team and everyone behind the scenes who helped navigate what felt like constantly changing circumstances. You showed up for our patients while managing challenges of your own, and we are incredibly lucky to have you.
To everyone across Northwest Indiana who has been impacted by these storms, our thoughts are with you as our community continues to clean up, recover, and get back to normal.
This week has been another reminder of just how special the NWI community is, when things get difficult, we show up for one another.
