Does your ankle still bother you months after you rolled it? 🦢🏻

Or maybe it never felt quite the same after that "minor" sprain?

Here's what most athletes don't realize πŸ‘‡

Your ankle is responsible for two very important jobs:
πŸ‘Ÿ Absorbing force when you land
πŸš€ Creating force when you push off

When ankle mobility is limited, your body has to find motion somewhere else.

That often means:
🦡 Extra stress on the knee
πŸ˜– Tight calves and Achilles irritation
πŸƒ Changes in running mechanics
βš–οΈ Poor balance and stability on one leg
Common symptoms we see:
πŸ”„ Stiffness when squatting or running
πŸ€• Pain on the inside or outside of the ankle
πŸ“‰ Feeling unstable during training
πŸ‘Ÿ An ankle that keeps getting re-sprained

What causes it?

Most of the time it's not just the ankle itself.
We often find:
🦴 Joint restrictions after old sprains
🧱 Scar tissue that limits movement
πŸ’ͺ Weak foot and ankle stabilizers
πŸ‘ Hip weakness changing how force travels through the leg

At Boro Chiropractic, we assess the entire chain.

We:
🦢 Restore ankle motion with adjustments
🀲 Improve tissue quality through manual therapy
πŸ‹πŸ»β™‚οΈ Strengthen the foot, ankle, and hip so your body can handle load again

Because the goal isn't just to stop your ankle from hurting.

The goal is to help you run, lift, jump, and move confidently without wondering if it's going to flare up again.

If you move, you're an athlete.
And your ankles should be able to keep up with where you're headed. πŸ’₯

Does your knee hurt when you fully straighten it? πŸ€”

Your knee is designed to bend and straighten smoothly while handling the forces of walking, running, squatting, and jumping.

When something in that system is irritated, knee extension can become painful.

Pain with straightening the knee may come from inflammation around the joint, irritation under the kneecap, tendon overload, or even limitations at the hip or ankle that change how forces move through the leg.

Common symptoms:
πŸ˜– Pain when straightening the knee
πŸͺœ Discomfort going up or down stairs
πŸƒ Pain during running or jumping
🦡 Stiffness after sitting for long periods
⚑ Sharp pain at the front of the knee

Clinically, we often see poor quad control, limited ankle mobility, and hip weakness contributing to knee pain. The knee is frequently caught in the middle of a problem that starts somewhere else in the movement chain.

At Boro Chiropractic, we assess how the entire lower body works together. We identify what is causing the extra stress, restore proper movement, and build strength so the knee can handle load more efficiently.

Healthy knees are not just pain free.

They are strong, stable, and ready for whatever you ask them to do. πŸ’ͺ🦡

Care should feel personal. 🀝

Some of the best moments in the clinic happen between the treatment.

The conversations, the laughs, the relationships built over time.

We care about helping people move better, but we also care about creating an environment where patients feel known, encouraged, and comfortable every time they walk in.

Good care starts with trust.

Grateful for the people who make this place what it is.

Does your hip always feel tight no matter how much you stretch it? πŸ€”

Your hip is a ball and socket joint designed to move in multiple directions. It plays a major role in walking, running, squatting, lifting, and changing direction.

When the joint is not moving well, the muscles around it often tighten up to protect the area.

That is why stretching or using a massage gun may provide temporary relief, but the tightness keeps coming back.

Common symptoms:
πŸ˜– Tightness in the front of the hip
🦡 Pain in the groin or side of the hip
πŸ”„ Pinching during squats or lunges
😣 Low back tightness
πŸƒ Discomfort while running or training

Clinically, we commonly see limited hip mobility, muscle imbalances, and poor movement mechanics contributing to hip pain.

The hip rarely works alone. When it is not functioning properly, the low back, knees, and hamstrings often pick up the extra work.

At Boro Chiropractic, we assess the entire movement system. We restore joint motion, address muscle restrictions, and build strength so your hips can move the way they were designed to.

Healthy hips make everything else work better. πŸ’ͺπŸ”₯

Rehab is where lasting change happens. πŸ’ͺ

Getting out of pain is important.

But if the body never learns how to move, stabilize, and handle load again, the problem often returns.

Rehab helps bridge the gap between feeling better and performing better.

It helps you:
πŸ‹οΈ Build strength
πŸ”„ Improve movement quality
βš–οΈ Increase stability and control
πŸƒ Return to activity with confidence

Every exercise has a purpose.

We are not just trying to get you back to where you were.

We are working to make you stronger, more resilient, and better prepared for whatever life or sport throws your way.

Move well. Stay active. Keep progressing. πŸ”₯πŸ’ͺ

Does your shoulder click during workouts? πŸ€”

Your shoulder is a ball and socket joint designed to move through a large range of motion while staying stable under load.

To do that, the shoulder relies on a team effort between the joint itself, the shoulder blade, and the upper back.

When one part of that system is not moving well, the shoulder can become noisy.

A click or pop is not always a problem, but when it comes with pain, weakness, or limited motion, it is worth paying attention to.

Common symptoms:
πŸ”„ Clicking or popping during presses or overhead movements
πŸ˜– Pain reaching overhead
πŸ’ͺ Weakness during lifting
πŸ‹οΈ Discomfort during bench press or shoulder workouts
😣 Tightness in the front of the shoulder

Clinically, we commonly see limited thoracic mobility, poor shoulder blade control, and strength imbalances contributing to shoulder irritation.

The shoulder is often working harder than it should because another part of the system is not doing its job.

At Boro Chiropractic, we assess the entire movement chain. We restore joint motion, improve shoulder blade function, and build strength so the shoulder can move efficiently under load.

A strong shoulder is not just mobile.

It is stable, controlled, and ready to perform. πŸ’ͺπŸ”₯
