Today was one of those days that reminds us just how special our Park View family truly is. 💗

Today, we showered Brittany with love on her last day as our Administrator, and while we are so incredibly proud of her and excited for this next chapter, saying goodbye to someone who has given 13 years of her heart to this community is never easy.

Brittany has gone above and beyond in ways that cannot always be put into words. She has poured her heart and soul into our residents, our staff, and every part of Park View Meadows. She has been there through the good days, the hard days, the celebrations, and the moments that required a little extra strength. Her love and dedication have touched so many lives, and her impact will continue to be felt long after today.

We are going to miss seeing her every day, but we are so thankful that this is not goodbye forever. She will still be a light in our community through her new job, and we know she will continue to bring the same love, kindness, and compassion wherever she goes.

We love you, we appreciate you, and we are so proud of you. We wish you nothing but the very best in this next chapter. You deserve every beautiful thing that comes your way. 💕

🌿 This Week’s Wellness Win 🌿

Dimension of Wellness: Physical
Activity: Fan the Fish

Story: Residents had a fin-tastic time with our Fan the Fish Challenge! Using pieces of cardboard as fans, residents worked to move their paper fish across the table and into the plate.

This fun activity encouraged arm movement, coordination, focus, and motor skills while creating plenty of laughter and friendly competition. Residents had to control their movements and work toward the goal of getting their fish safely into the plate.

Activity: Pet Therapy with Joy

Story: Residents enjoyed a special Pet Therapy visit with Joy, spending time petting and interacting with the animals. The visit brought plenty of smiles, laughter, and positive energy to the community.

Pet therapy provides opportunities for companionship, comfort, emotional connection, and joyful expression. Spending time with animals can create a calming atmosphere while encouraging residents to engage, reminisce, and share meaningful moments together.

Activity: Butterbean Auction with Cassie and Joy

Story: Residents had a great time at our Butterbean Auction with Cassie! Residents used the butterbeans they had earned to bid on different items up for auction. The excitement of placing bids, waiting to see who won, and cheering each other on made for a fun afternoon.

The Butterbean Auction encourages social interaction, participation, friendly competition, and community connection while giving residents something exciting to look forward to. It’s always a joy seeing everyone come together, have fun, and enjoy the experience.

Story: Residents went head-to-head in a fun game of Table Hockey! Players used their paddles to move the puck across the table and aim for their opponent’s goal.

This fast-paced activity encouraged hand-eye coordination, focus, reaction time, upper-body movement, and motor skills while adding a little friendly competition. Residents cheered each other on, enjoyed plenty of laughter, and had fun staying active together.

Story: Residents enjoyed a lively game of UNO, putting their memory, strategy, and quick-thinking skills to the test. Players had to pay attention to the cards being played, recognize colors and numbers, and decide which card to play next.

UNO encourages concentration, memory, decision-making, problem-solving, and cognitive flexibility while creating plenty of laughter and friendly competition.

Story: Residents put their memory and observation skills to the test with our Symbol & Color Match! Different symbols were placed on various colored cups, and residents had to carefully identify and match the symbols to the correct cups.

This engaging activity encouraged concentration, visual recognition, memory, problem-solving, and cognitive processing. Residents had to pay close attention to the details while working quickly to make their matches, creating a fun and stimulating challenge.
