While flu shots are available at any time, you can also join us for our Saturday Flu Clinic on October 17, from 8 AM–12 PM.

Bullying is never OK.

Every child deserves to feel safe, supported, and accepted. As parents, it's important to recognize the signs of bullying, especially when children may be hesitant to talk about what they're experiencing.

Signs your child may be experiencing bullying include:
đź’™ Unexplained injuries or missing belongings
đź’™ Frequent headaches, stomachaches, or complaints of feeling sick
đź’™ Changes in mood, sleep, or eating habits
đź’™ Avoiding school or activities they once enjoyed
đź’™ Withdrawing from friends or showing signs of anxiety or low self-esteem

If you notice these changes, start a conversation. Listen without judgment, reassure your child that they are not alone, and work with their school or pediatrician to find support.

Families gathered at Murfreesboro Medical Clinic's location on Lascassas Pike for a fun-filled Back to School Bash hosted by MMC in partnership with the Rutherford County Sheriff's Office, Redstone Federal Credit Union, and Ascension Saint Thomas Rutherford.

Children and parents explored stations set up by local businesses and community organizations, receiving brand-new backpacks and enjoying a full day of school-year excitement. Attendees enjoyed face painting, balloon animals, coloring, and special guest appearances by MTSU's Lightning and the Chick-fil-A Cow.

Event Highlights
Hands-On Activities: MMC Pediatrics hosted a popular station where kids created their own "boo-boo kits" to take home.
Community Partners: Event hosted in partnership with the Rutherford County Sheriff's Office, Redstone Federal Credit Union, and Ascension Saint Thomas Rutherford.
Family Fun & Giveaways: Children received new backpacks alongside snacks, games, face painting, and balloon animals.
Special Character Visits: MTSU's Lightning and the Chick-fil-A Cow greeted families and posed for photos throughout the event.

September is Library Card Sign-Up Month, and it’s a great time to visit your local library together. Let your child explore the shelves, pick out a book that catches their eye and sign up for a card of their very own. Children can get a card at any age with a parent or guardian present.
