Our Lead Pharmacy Technician, Elizabeth! She’s been with us since 2017 and she is such a vital part of our team! She helps keep the place running smoothly everyday and always has a smile on her face. We are so grateful for all she does for our patients and our pharmacy!

Q: A little background about your road to pharmacy:

“My grandpa is a Pharmacist so he got me a job at Terrace Pharmacy. I worked there for about 6 years and when Mr. Wilkinson, the pharmacist, retired, my grandpa mentioned that Beckman’s was looking for someone and I jumped at the opportunity. I’ve been here for over 8 years now and absolutely love my job. I couldn’t imagine being anywhere else.”

Q: What’s your favorite part about working at Beckman’s?:

“The people I work with and the people I serve. It’s a positive environment. We care about our customers.”

Q: What do you like to do when you aren’t at the pharmacy?

“Hang out with friends and family 😃”

Fun Fact: “I was in choir all throughout school (elementary through my 1st year of college) and I still love to sing…even at work 😂”

It’s our favorite time of the year… We are stocked and excited about our upcoming vaccine season! 💉❤️ Flu shots and COVID shots for the 2026-2027 season are available now. As always, there is no appointment needed and our vaccine process is quick and easy!

In addition to Flu and COVID shots, we also keep Tdap, RSV, Pneumonia, Shingles, and more. We look forward to seeing you all in the pharmacy this fall!! 🍂🍁

Our Next Employee Spotlight🎉:

Our Pharmacist Shannon Beckman is an alumna of MTSU and a graduate of University of Tennessee’s Pharmacy School. She also completed a post-graduate residency through UT with an emphasis on Community Pharmacy. She has a deep love for her community and is a board member for Main Street Murfreesboro and Murfreesboro Cold Patrol.

Q: A little background about your road to pharmacy:

“I actually started working at Beckman’s when I was in high school, initially doing deliveries to the homebound patients. I liked healthcare, science, and people, so it seemed to be a great fit.”

Q: What’s your favorite part about working at Beckman’s?:

“I love so much about this job! I like that everyday is different and I am constantly learning. I love working Downtown- It’s such a special place! I enjoy being a preceptor for UT and working with our pharmacy students. And I love all of our patients. I joke frequently that I basically get to take care of and talk to my friends all day”.

Q: What do you like to do when you aren’t at the pharmacy?

“Live music and festivals, watching sports (either my kids or one of my favorite teams), hiking, and anything outdoors!”

Fun fact: “I was voted Wittiest in my Senior Class😁”

We were honored to be voted again as one of the Main Street Award finalists for Best Pharmacy in Murfreesboro!

We know there are lots of choices for pharmacies in our town (around 50-ish actually!), so we are grateful for each of our wonderful patients who support us every day! ❤️

We have lots of new patients and followers, so we thought August was a good time to reintroduce us all! Look for more info about our awesome staff over the next few weeks!

First up, our Pharmacist-in-Charge, Keith Beckman. And it happens to be his birthday today!! 🎉 Here’s a little more about him:

Keith graduated from MTSU with a degree in biology and graduated from University of Tennessee Pharmacy School in 2010. He is a supporter of all things Murfreesboro, and currently serves on the board for Gallagher Fest, a local Downtown music festival.

Q: A little background about you and your road to pharmacy:

“I’ve been around this pharmacy my entire life. 44 years to be exact. I grew up inside Beckman’s Prescription Shop and consider it an honor to be owner and Pharmacist-In-Charge at such a special place that my family built from the ground up.”

Q: What do you love most about your job:

“It’s gotta be the people. We have the best patients possible. I get such enjoyment out of helping all types of people navigate the healthcare system and solve their own personal issues. It’s truly a joy to do what you love everyday.”

Q: What do you like to do when you aren’t at the pharmacy: Art, Music, Live Music (concerts), and sports (Nashville SC!)

Fun Fact: “I’ve officially been going to the Bonnaroo Music Festival for over half my life!”
