Gentiva Hospice of Murfreesboro, TN is looking for direct care volunteers to provide non-medical support to hospice patients. They can provide care giver relief, light housekeeping, light meal preparation and/or assist with errands. Volunteers are usually assigned at least two patients and visit weekly or biweekly, either in patients' homes or at the facility where they reside. Background checks, drug screening, and TB testing are all required; however, costs are covered by the company. The onboarding process takes about two weeks, from the interview to the assignment of a volunteers first patient, as we also provide orientation/training. If you are dependable, consistent, caring, and have great communication skills, this opportunity is for you! No medical background is necessary! We cover Bedford, Cannon, and Rutherford counties.
