I (Kelsey) sat on this idea of a tiered sliding scale for therapy provided by interns for awhile, and honestly there is no time better than now to implement it.

Therapy can't be always accessible, but Solace & Sol's goal is to make it an inch closer to doable.

We’re so excited to welcome a new intern therapist, Dez, to Solace & Sol Therapy beginning this July 🌿✨

She is passionate about creating an affirming, compassionate, and authentic space for clients to feel truly seen and supported. Consults are officially open now, and we would love to help you get connected early 💛

A little about Dez: I am a Western Kentucky University alum and current student at Southern New Hampshire University pursuing my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I am passionate about working with adolescents, young adults, and adults while helping clients navigate life’s challenges in a supportive and encouraging environment. My background experience includes working in acute crisis care through stabilization units and inpatient hospital settings, where I have supported individuals experiencing significant mental health challenges and emotional distress.

I take an Adlerian and person-centered approach to counseling and value helping clients build confidence, resilience, and self-awareness while working through challenges. My goal is to create a supportive space where clients feel comfortable being themselves while learning healthy ways to cope, grow, and move forward through difficult seasons of life.

Fun Fact: I enjoy watching sports, especially women’s basketball, and spending quality time with friends.

This session, led by Brian Seadorf, provides writers with structured opportunities and tips to engage in creative expression through written communication. 📝 Participants will explore reflective and metaphor‑based writing strategies that support personal growth, professional reflection, and overall well‑being.

📙 The session will also include an overview of the book publishing process, offering foundational knowledge for those interested in developing written work for broader audiences.

💡 About Brian: Brian is the librarian at Blackman High School and just last year released a new book titled Five Baptisms.

Our 6 week divorce therapy group was created to offer a space that is supportive, honest, healing, and human. We’ll navigate topics like grief, attachment wounds, boundaries, co-parenting stressors, emotional regulation, rebuilding self-esteem, healthy communication, and rediscovering yourself outside of the relationship.

Whether your divorce feels heartbreaking, relieving, complicated, or all of the above, you do not have to navigate it alone. 🤍

A lot of mental health stigma is broken in really ordinary moments.
Being honest when you’re struggling. Checking in on people genuinely. Talking about therapy like it’s normal...because IT is. Letting people be human without making them feel less for it.

People heal better when they don’t feel like they have to hide 🤍
