Policy refresh time!!
*Arrival to your session
Please arrive at your appointment 15 minutes prior to the scheduled starting time. This allows you the time to use the facilities, change and prepare for the service. All massages have a specific time schedule and early arrival allows for relaxed and unhurried experiences.
*Cancellation Policy
Please provide at least 24 hours notice if you need to reschedule or cancel a treatment. This gives me enough time to fill the slot. If a client fails to cancel within 24 hours they will have to pay for the full session that was missed. An invoice will be sent to the email address that is on file.
*Late Policy
If you are not present for your scheduled session during the first 15 minutes (unless having telephoned that you will be late), it will be constructed by me that you are a "no-show". Depending upon how late you arrive, I will then determine if there is enough time remaining to start a session. Regardless of the length of treatment given, you will be responsible for the "full" session. You may be asked to prepay for any future services.
*No Show Policy
Clients who fail to show for appointments will still have to pay for the full session. An invoice will be sent to the email address that is on file.
*Scope of Practice
Massage therapy is a profession in which I apply manual techniques, and may apply adjunctive therapies, with the intention of positively affecting the health and well-being of my client. I do not diagnose or prescribe for medical conditions.
*Professional Boundaries
Requests for sexual activity will not be tolerated and will be reported to the proper authorities under the guidelines of the Massage Therapy Policies and Procedures. The client will not be rescheduled if this occurs. The breast and ge***al area will not be massaged under any circumstances. A professional distance will be maintained. Sexual interaction or discussion of any kind between me and the client is not tolerated.
*Existing and New Medical conditions
It is the responsibility of the client to keep me informed of any medical treatment currently being taken, and to provide me with a written permission from the physician, chiropractor, physical therapists, etc., that the massage may be continued. The client must also keep the massage therapist informed of any changes in health conditions. For clients undergoing chemo and radiation therapies, please note that I require a doctor's note that states that the doctor is aware of and agrees to Massage Therapy.
