February 3rd marks the birthday of Dr. Elizabeth Blackwell, the first woman to receive a medical degree in the U.S. in 1849. This year, on February 3rd, Intermountain honors Dr. Linda Leckman for her retirement as CEO of Intermountain Medical Group. Dr. Leckman, a trailblazer, was the first female resident in general surgery at the University of Utah in the early 1980s. Thank you Dr. Leckman for your 22 years of service and thank you to ALL of our great women physicians at Intermountain!
