When the body is supported, these shifts feel smoother. Less extreme. More manageable.

Acupuncture helps the body return to that natural rhythm by supporting circulation, nervous system balance, and internal regulation.

You are not supposed to feel the same every day. You are supposed to feel in flow. 🤍

Midsummer has arrived — the Fire Horse year is at its peak.

Ignite your joy from within.

We're standing right at the midpoint of summer — roughly six weeks in, six weeks left, the exact halfway mark between solstice and equinox, and nearing the exact midpoint for the year of the fire horse on August 11th.

The Firse Horse Summer is at its fullest expression: the longest light, the highest heat, Fire at its peak.

In Traditional Chinese Medicine, Fire's emotion is joy. And this weekend — sitting right at that midsummer crest — feels like the right moment to ask:
where has your joy gone in the rush of this fast-moving Fire Horse year?

You don't need to overhaul your weekend to find it. Joy tends to show up in the ordinary — a slow morning, a song that moves your body, bare feet on grass, a meal eaten without rushing. If you'd like to go deeper, I've put together some simple ways to notice joy, plus a short breath meditation for tapping into the joy that already lives within you. Grab the reigns to relaxation! Wherever this weekend takes you, may you meet a little more of it in stillness.

Warmly,
Alethea

The body often reacts before the mind can explain it.

Stress, emotions, and physical pain are deeply connected. That’s why tension can appear in the neck, jaw, or back during emotionally heavy periods.

Acupuncture helps regulate the nervous system and supports the body in releasing stored tension patterns.

Over time, many people notice not just less pain, but more ease in their whole system.

Stress, sleep disruption, diet, and emotional strain all affect how the body regulates hormones.

This can show up as:
• Skin changes
• Energy crashes
• Cycle shifts
• Mood changes

Acupuncture supports the nervous system and circulation, helping the body return to a more balanced rhythm.

In Traditional Chinese Medicine, digestion is viewed as a transformation process, not just breakdown of food.

Your body needs warmth and energy to turn what you eat into usable fuel. 🌿

Cold, raw, and iced foods require more effort to process, which can sometimes lead to bloating, fatigue, or a heavy feeling after meals.

Warm, cooked foods and fermented foods are easier for the body to absorb and can support smoother digestion and steadier energy throughout the day.

It’s not about avoiding certain foods completely. It’s about understanding what your body needs in different seasons and conditions.

💚 When digestion improves, everything else often feels more balanced too.

You adjust your chair.
Roll your shoulders.
Stretch your neck.

And still, the tightness comes back.

That’s because recurring pain is rarely just posture. It’s often a pattern of tension, circulation, and stress stored in the body.

Acupuncture, cupping, and tuina work together to help release deeper layers of tension, not just the surface feeling.

Relief isn’t always about doing more. Sometimes it’s about releasing differently. 😊

Your cycle is talking. Most people were just never taught how to listen 🌸

In TCM, these patterns are often linked to how energy and circulation move through the body.

Acupuncture works by supporting smoother flow and helping the body regulate more naturally over time.

💚 Your cycle is not supposed to feel like chaos every month.

Sometimes feeling “off” isn’t just emotional.

In Traditional Chinese Medicine, ongoing low motivation, irritability, or emotional heaviness is often connected to how well energy is moving through the body.

When flow becomes restricted, it can affect not just mood, but also digestion, tension, and overall vitality.

The good news is that the body responds well to support. 🌿
Through acupuncture, lifestyle awareness, and gentle shifts in daily habits, the system can begin to move more freely again.

Not all pain responds the same way.

Signs your body may respond well to moxibustion:
• Pain feels deep or dull
• Stiffness improves with warmth
• Symptoms worsen in cold environments

Moxibustion uses gentle heat to improve circulation and support natural healing in muscles and joints.

It is especially helpful for long-standing tension and fatigue-related discomfort.
