OUR LVS FAMILY IS GROWING!

Please help us welcome Kaitlyn Arditi to our Lowcountry Vein Specialists family!

Kaitlyn joined our team on Monday, October 12th, as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer certified in RDMS and RVT. She attended Horry-Georgetown Technical College and went on to work at Grand Strand Medical Center for over two and a half years, where she gained experience performing both general and vascular ultrasound exams. We are so excited to have her knowledge and experience here at LVS!

Kaitlyn brings a fun, bubbly, outgoing, and kind personality to our office. Her hard work and passion for what she does make her a wonderful addition to our team, and we are so happy to have her here!

Originally from Staten Island, New York, Kaitlyn moved to the area when she was 8 years old and has called the Grand Strand home ever since. When she isn't at work, she enjoys spending quality time with her family and friends, watching movies and TV shows, playing with her dogs, and enjoying all of her favorite foods!

Before becoming an ultrasound technologist, singing was Kaitlyn's only job! She still sings at local restaurants and private events.

We are so excited to have Kaitlyn join our team and become part of our LVS family! Please join us in giving her a warm welcome. We can't wait for everyone to get to know her!

💡 MYTH VS. FACT 💡

❌ MYTH: Varicose veins are only a cosmetic issue.

✅ FACT: Varicose veins can cause more than just cosmetic concerns. They may be associated with symptoms such as, but not limited to:

🦵 Aching or discomfort
🦵 Leg pain or cramping
🦵 Swelling
🦵 A feeling of heaviness or tiredness in the legs
🦵 Skin discoloration or changes
🦵 Leg ulcers

If you’re experiencing symptoms from varicose veins, it may be worth having them evaluated by a vein specialist.

Meet the staff week ten!!

Karl Hubach, MD, FACPh, RVT, RPhS 🩺

Dr. Hubach is the physician and owner of our practice and has been caring for patients in our community for nearly 30 years. He started his private practice in 1997 and has dedicated his career to providing excellent and compassionate care to his patients while building a practice that feels like family.

Dr. Hubach attended Western Maryland College before continuing his education at George Washington University Medical School. He completed his Family Practice Residency at MCV/Riverside Regional Medical Center. He is a Board-Certified Physician in Phlebology and Family Practice, as well as a Registered Vascular Technologist and Registered Phlebology Sonographer.

As our physician, Dr. Hubach evaluates and treats our patients while also managing all areas of the practice. He is patient, calm, funny, incredibly knowledgeable, and treats everyone he meets like family. He has created an office environment where his staff truly feels like a family, and he is always willing to teach and share his knowledge with those around him. There aren't enough good things we can say about Dr. Hubach, and our patients would say the same. We are truly blessed to be able to work for him, learn from him, and be a part of the practice he has built.

Originally from Herndon, Virginia, Dr. Hubach enjoys spending his free time with his wife, daughters, and their dog. He loves being on the lake, woodworking, working in the yard, and tinkering with his old Fiat. If something needs to be fixed, Dr. Hubach is usually the person to call! He also enjoys teaching Sunday School and Bible studies at his church.

We are so thankful for everything Dr. Hubach does for our patients, our staff, and our practice. We are truly lucky to have him as our doctor, our boss, and the person who has built the Lowcountry family we are so proud to be a part of. ❤️

Meet the staff week nine!!

Sandy Michael📞🖥️🗂️

Sandy is our Receptionist and Head of Billing and has been a valued member of our office since September 2014. Originally from Knoxville, Tennessee, Sandy studied at Walter State University before gaining experience working in several different medical offices, including radiology and OB/GYN. She moved to Myrtle Beach in 2013 and has been an important part of our Lowcountry team ever since.

Sandy is the first smiling face our patients see when they walk through our doors, but she does so much more than her job title could ever describe. From scheduling patients and answering phone calls to handling billing, insurance authorizations, precertifications, and checking patients in and out, Sandy is always making sure things run smoothly. She also helps with payroll and countless other behind-the-scenes tasks, truly making her our “jack of all trades”! Sandy is hardworking, patient, determined, sweet, funny, and easy to get along with. We could describe Sandy in so many ways, but one thing is certain—she is truly one of the main reasons our office runs as smoothly as it does.

When Sandy is not at work, she enjoys traveling, fishing, hunting, and camping. Most of all, she loves spending time with her husband and children and making memories together.

We are so grateful to have Sandy as part of our Lowcountry team and appreciate all that she does for our office and our patients!

🎉 It’s our birthday month!! 🎉

This August, we’re celebrating SIX years as Lowcountry Vein Specialists! On August 3, 2020, we proudly began a new chapter under our new name.

Many of our longtime patients remember us as Inlet Vein Specalists! Although our name changed, our mission has remained the same: providing excellent vein and patient care with compassion, experience, and a personal touch.

Thank you for being part of our story. Whether you've been with us for years or are just joining the Lowcountry Vein Specialists family, we're so glad you’re here and we’re so grateful for your continued trust and support! 💙

Meet the staff week eight!!

Sherry Hubach📞🗂️

Sherry is our Administrative Assistant and has been a valued member of our office since September 2014. She has been a Registered X-Ray Technician since 1987 and brings decades of medical experience and knowledge to our team. Originally from Virginia, Sherry moved to Myrtle Beach with her husband in 1996 and proudly considers this area home.

Sherry is the heart of many of our day-to-day office operations. She manages countless behind-the-scenes responsibilities that help keep everything running smoothly, including bookkeeping, ordering office supplies, and handling many of the business-related aspects of the practice. She also serves as one of our medical receptionists, greeting patients and answering phones with a friendly smile. Her dedication, organization, and hard work make her a valuable part of our office.

When Sherry is not at work, she enjoys spending time with her husband, two daughters, and their spoiled Golden Retriever. Whether she's relaxing at the lake or by the pool, enjoying a weekend morning coffee with her husband, listening to mystery audiobooks, watching game shows, or finding a new TV series to binge together, family time is what she treasures most. She also enjoys getting together with friends whenever she can.

We are grateful to have Sherry as part of our Lowcountry team!

Meet the staff week seven!!

Macie McGann ᯤ

Macie is a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer certified in RDMS and RVT who recently joined our office in July 2026. She graduated from Horry-Georgetown Technical College's ultrasound program before beginning her career at Grand Strand Medical Center, where she gained two years of experience performing a wide variety of ultrasound studies. Originally from West Virginia, Macie relocated to Myrtle Beach in January 2022.

Macie brings a sweet, caring, and fun personality to our office. Her positive attitude and sense of humor make her a joy to work with, and she has already fit in perfectly with our team. Her knowledge, compassion, and dedication to providing excellent patient care have made her a wonderful addition to our office, and we are so excited to have her as part of the Lowcountry family.

When Macie is not at work, she enjoys going to the gym, walking her dog, spending time at the beach, and grabbing ice cream. She also loves spending quality time with her husband and always looks forward to visits from family and friends.

We are grateful to have Macie as part of our Lowcountry team!
