Celebrating Our Employees of the Year!

At Nightingale’s Hospice, some of the most important work happens quietly through consistency, good judgment, experience, and the willingness to take responsibility when it matters. This year, we are proud to recognize Pauline Natividad, LVN, and Lisa Doyle, Hospice Counselor, as our Employees of the Year.

Pauline Natividad, LVN is affectionately known as our Clinical “Queen” and for good reason. Pauline understands the moving pieces of hospice from clinical care and intake to administration, processes, procedures, and people. She is the person who knows how things work, what needs to happen next, and who needs help getting it done. Her versatility and commitment make her an invaluable part of Nightingale’s.

Lisa Doyle, Hospice Counselor brings years of knowledge, perspective, and a deep understanding of the emotional realities surrounding hospice care. She knows that supporting patients and families isn't about having the perfect words it is about listening well, recognizing what a family needs, and being willing to sit with the difficult parts of illness, loss, and grief. Lisa brings steadiness, insight, and genuine compassion to that work.

Two very different roles. Two people who understand that excellent hospice care depends on both competence and humanity.

Congratulations, Pauline and Lisa. Your work matters, and Nightingale’s Hospice is stronger because of what each of you brings to it.

Meet the Doctor Behind Our Hospice

At Nightingale’s Hospice, compassionate care starts with strong medical leadership.

Dr. Alex Davila, our Medical Director, has spent more than 20 years caring for patients and families in our community. His background in emergency medicine brings extensive medical experience to hospice care, but what truly sets him apart is something increasingly rare in healthcare: personal presence.

Dr. Davila makes house calls, meets patients and families at the bedside, and helps navigate complex medical needs with clarity, compassion, and dignity.

His commitment extends beyond medicine. He has served locally and abroad, volunteered his time supporting community athletics, and continues to invest in the community he calls home.

At Nightingale’s Hospice, Dr. Davila has helped build a physician-led approach where families are known, questions are answered, and even the most complex situations are met with confidence and care.

We are proud to have Dr. Davila leading our medical care and even prouder of the heart he brings to the families we serve.
