We provide family eye care for all ages, including treatment of eye infections and injuries, management of glaucoma, cataracts and diabetic eye exams. We have the newest contact lens technology and state of the art equipment. ⚡ Flashes & Floaters: When Should You Be Concerned?

Seeing tiny specks, cobwebs, or sudden flashes of light in your vision can be alarming. While flashes and floaters are often harmless and common with age, some changes can signal a serious retinal problem that needs prompt attention.

👁️Floaters
Floaters may look like:

• Spots
• Strings or cobwebs
• Shadowy shapes drifting through your vision

⚡Flashes
Flashes can appear like
• Brief lightning streaks
• Flickering lights
• Camera flashes off to the side of your vision

🚨 Be Seen ASAP If You Notice:
• A sudden increase in floaters
• New flashes of light
• A dark curtain or shadow in your vision
• Sudden blurry or missing vision

These symptoms can sometimes indicate a retinal tear or retinal detachment.

📅 Schedule the Next Available Appointment If:
• Your floaters are longstanding and unchanged
• You occasionally notice mild floaters without flashes
• Symptoms are stable and not worsening

When in doubt, it’s always safest to have your eyes checked.
