Kenneth L. Pugh, 82, of North Muskegon, passed away, August 22, 2026.
Ken proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps (1963-67). That experience instilled in him the discipline, honor, and strength he carried for the rest of his life. That same sense of duty guided him as a Deputy with the Muskegon County Sheriff's Department. He then pursued a career in real estate until his retirement.
An avid outdoors man, Ken cherished everything Michigan had to offer, from its lakes and woods to its changing seasons. He was happiest fishing, hunting, or out on the golf course. He was a devoted fan of the MSU Spartans, Lions, Tigers, and any team his grandsons played on. Ken also had a wonderful sense of humor and a natural knack for conversations. Never one to meet a stranger, he could talk to anyone and always knew how to bring a smile to those around him.
He leaves behind his wife of 50 years, Pam, two daughters, Heather (Marcel) and Kelly (Matthew), grandsons, Riley, Jake, and Sam; brother, Norm Pugh (Jeanne); sister-in-law, Martha Carlson; nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother-in-law, Randy Carlson.
The family is deeply grateful to Ken’s many friends and neighbors for their support and comfort. A special thank you to Harbor Hospice for their care during his journey, and to his niece Julie and husband Tim.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Harbor Hospice or the Noah Project....
